OCR, what is it ?

Because PRiDEorDiE is not just about combat sports, for 3 years a pro OCR team has been competing in races all over France and Europe... Team PRiDEorDiE!

But what exactly is OCR? OCR stands for Obstacle Course Racing, and it's the sport that prepares its participants for obstacle races, where a runner must overcome various physical challenges presented as obstacles. These obstacles aren't limited to climbing walls or ropes; they also include objects to carry, exercises to perform, and natural or urban environments to traverse (rivers, lakes, forests, sand, changes in elevation, stairs, etc.). While endurance is the main component of a traditional race, here runners must use their entire body to perform actions that will help them progress through the course. And we love it!

There are many OCR races such as the Spartan Race, Gladiator Run, Tough Viking, 14-18, 24h Xtreme, and Medieval Run, each with its own themes and difficulty levels! Some of these races even serve as qualifiers for the OCR European Championships and the OCR World Championship, because yes, there is indeed a world championship. & European where the best athletes compete each year individually or in teams.
